Recently, a woman named Rebecca Garcia was arrested by the Spanish Police on the charges of harassing and stalking at least a dozen of women. As per Spanish media reports, Rebecca Garcia, 33, was arrested after multiple women broke her silence sharing their chats and emails alleging that are being subject to harassment and stalking. Rebecca Garcia reportedly became obsessed with multiple women, repeatedly contacting them in a case which somewhat resembles to Netflix's series Baby Reindeer. As a result, Rebecca Garcia and her brother Francisco were detained in a Madrid supermarket on Monday. However, Rebecca Garcia's video is started to go viral this week.
Rebecca Garcia's stalking came to the fore after the release of Baby Reindeer. Having watched Baby Reindeer, multiple women in Caracas, Venezuela's capital, shared the details of their own traumatic experiences.
As per the women who came forward, Rebecca Garcia became so obsessed for some women that she followed them everywhere, contacted them repeatedly, and behaved in bizarre and threatening ways towards them.A UK media portal quoted one of Garcia's alleged victims, Claudia Aguirrezabal. Claudia Aguirrezabal said Garcia wrote a troubling 500-page sexually-explicit book. Claudia Aguirrezabal further claimed that Garcia broke into her home and sent her a message which reads, "The killer is inside the house."
Claudia further revealed that Garcia slid into her DMs and ever threatened to kill her friends. Garcia allegedly wrote to her, "If somebody is touching you, I am going to kill them as that is disrespectful to us and our relationship."
Caudia and Garcia reportedly attended the same school, however, both of them five years junion & senior. Hence, Claudia said that she never knew Garcia during her school days. Claudia stated that she contacted Spanish Police, but they did not take any action against Garcia as she was a woman and also due to her apparent mental illness. Several women in Caracas are understood to have been complaining about Rebecca García since 2019.
