Safin Hasan, the youngest IPS Officer at the age of 22, had cracked the UPSC examination in his first attempt in 2018. He had secured 570th rank in the Civil Services examination. With this achievement, he became the youngest IPS officer in India.

Who is Safin Hasan?
Safin Hasan hails from Kanodar village in Gujarat’s Palanpur district. He grew up in a lower-middle class family. He shared that his interaction with a District Magistrate had a profound impact on him and it sparked his ambition to become an officer. He joined the Indian Police Service in 2023 at the age of 22.
He studied at a government school in Gujarat and worked as a tuition teacher to support his family. He had also achieved a 34th Rank in the Gujarat PSC exam. Following this, he got the post of District Registrar. He had studied at SKM High School in Palanpur, Gujarat. Following this he moved to Ascent School of Science, an English-medium school in Palanpur, Gujarat.
Safin’s father, Mustafa Hasan, worked in a diamond unit and was a part-time electrician in his hometown. His mother, Naseembanu, used to work as a chef in people's homes, restaurants, and banquets. She is now a worker in a diamond unit. IPS Safin is engaged to Ahmedabad's Aman Patel, who has an MBA degree. The couple is said to marry in the near future.
In an interview, Safin shared about a moment that made him want to become IPS Officer. He saw the District Magistrate of Palanpur, Gujarat, who was an IPS Officer. The DM solved problems quickly and helped people. This inspired Safin to become an IPS officer and make a big positive difference.
