American football league NFL fans went into a massive shock after a plus-size social media influencer sued Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill for allegedly breaking her leg. The social media influencer has been identified as Sophie Hall. Sophie Hall's attorney filed a lawsuit in Broward County Circuit Court on February 23, 2024. Sophie Hall in her lawsuit alleged that Tyreek Hill 'forcefully and purposefully' pushed her while the two were participating in a football drill at his Southwest Ranches mansion in Florida. Sophie Hall further alleged that Tyreek Hill was 'humiliated' after she knocked him backward during a 'friendly football lesson', which led to him charging at her 'violently and with great force.' Who is Sophie Hall?
Sophie Hall is a plus-size social media influencer who has a whopping 2.1 million Instagram followers. Apart from being an influencer, Sophie Hall is also an only fan model. Sophie Hall's allegations stem from a June 2023 incident where she claims Hill's aggressive behavior during a blocking drill led to her sustaining a broken leg.
Sophie Hall's claims against Tyreek Hill paint a distressing picture of an event meant to be a friendly demonstration of football skills turning into a nightmare. This incident has led to Sophie Hall pursuing charges of battery, assault, and negligence against the NFL star. Sophie's lawsuit says, "The crushing force was so great that she sustained a right leg fracture, necessitating surgery with metal hardware implantation." Also, Sophie Hall is seeking up to $75,000 in damages. It is unclear whether she reported the incident to authorities.
Notably, Miami Dolphins acquired Tyreek Hill in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs in March 2022. Miami Dolphins are yet to issue any public statement over the incident. Sophie Hall describes herself in her lawsuit as a model, actress and influencer with over 2 million followers across multiple social media platforms. Sophie met Hill in May 2023 after she bought a ticket for her 10-year-old son to attend Hill’s summer football camp in Boca Raton, Florida. The Dolphins receiver messaged Sophie Hall on Instagram a day after she registered, wanting to 'meet up and get to know her'.
Sophie Hall's relationship with Tyreek Hill
As per her lawsuit, Sophie and Tyreek Hill continued to exchange messages. The lawsuit document includes one message in which Hill says he has been 'known to be a good stepdad.' Hill then shared his cellphone number with Sophie Hall and invited her to his home. The All-Pro receiver purchased flight and travel arrangements for Hall to stay with him for a few days.
Sophie Hall arrived at Hill’s home on June 28. That afternoon, she stood and watched Hill practice with his trainer in his backyard before Hill invited her to participate in offensive line drills with him. As per reports, Sophie Hall, who in her Instagram bio says she is 6-foot-1, caused Hill to be pushed backward during the first drill, which the suit claims garnered laughter from those watching, including his mother, sister, friend, and trainer.
