An online challenge went too extreme for YouTuber Vikas Gowda aka vikas_gowda_vlogs after he allegedly spent 24 hours on Bengaluru Airport and posted a video on it. Influencer & YouTuber Vikas Gowda reportedly entered the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru and recorded a video showcasing how he evaded security for an entire day. However, Vikas Gowda's Bengaluru Airport video came under the scanner of security agencies who later arrested him and stated that he posted a misleading video. As per reports, Vikas Gowda aka vikas_gowda_vlogs is a resident of Yelahanka in Bengaluru. Talking about his social media reach, Vikas Godwa has 16.8K followers on Instagram and 113K subscribers on YouTube.
The 23-year-old YouTuber entered the airport with a ticket for Chennai-bound Air India flight on April 7 at around 12 pm. As per the Cops, Vikas Gowda aka vikas_gowda_vlogs did not board the flight "deliberately" and, instead, was roaming around the airport recording a video on his mobile phone. On April 12, The YouTuber uploaded the video on his YouTube channel named Vikas Gowda, boasting that he spent an entire day at the airport and ventured into many areas of the airport deceing security.
Following this arrest, Vikas Gowda's Bengaluru Airport video was deleted from his channel.
Notably, Vikas Gowda left the Bengaluru Airport claiming that he he missed his flight. Since the YouTuber had a valid ticket and boarding pass, the security did not suspect him there.
However, during the questioning, Vikas Gowda spilled the beans and said that he did it for publicity. After the matter came to light, an official with the Central Industrial Security Force, which oversees airport security, lodged a complaint against Gowda. Based on the complaint, a case was registered against Vikas Gowda under Sections 505 (Statements conducing to public mischief) and 448 (house trespass) of the Indian Penal Code, and he was arrested.
It is pertinent to mention here that Vikas Gowda was later released on bail.
