While Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his visit to Poland & Ukraine in his third term, let's reverse the time wheel and reach to peak Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign days. AAP National Convenor & Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that voting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha election would amount to voting for Amit Shah as Prime Minister as he would be set to retire from politics as he turns 75 on September 17, 2025. In response, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated firmly that PM Narendra Modi will serve his third term as PM. BJP indeed has a 75-year rule and keeping this in mind, a survey has been conducted which ranks top BJP leaders who can replace Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India. 

A news portal India Today conducted a survey in which it ranked the top BJP leaders who can replace PM Modi if he decides to step down and retire from politics. As per the survey, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is the top leader in terms of rating who is the top candidate to replace Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India. Amit Shah has got 25% backing in the survey, however, last year, his rating was 29%. 

Number 2 is Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath. UP CM Yogi Adityanath is number 2 with a total of 19% backing. On number 3 is senior BJP leader & UnionRoad Transport and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari. Nitin Gadkari is number 3 with 13% of the votes. Thereafter, on numbers 4 and 5 are Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with around 5% of approval votes.

Amit Shah during the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign days had said, " want to tell Arvind Kejriwal and the INDIA alliance that there is no need to be happy about Modiji turning 75. It is not written in the Constitution of the BJP that Modiji cannot become prime minister. He will again become prime minister and complete the term."
