The problems in the Punjab Congress seem to be far from over as the Channi government is being constantly cornered by its own party leaders and the top leadership has failed to evolve a consensus among the warring factions.
Days after taking a dig at Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu over their visit to Kedarnath temple, Jakhar has once again cornered Channi for accepting Sidhu demand and removing APS Deol from Advocate General’s post.
Jakhar in the tweet, said, “The ouster of a competent yet 'allegedly' compromised officer has exposed a 'really' compromised CM. Giving rise to a pertinent question- Whose government is it Anyway?”
Notably, Sunil Jakhar has emerged as strong critics of the Channi government and Navjot Sidhu in recent days. Call it rage over “not being elected as Punjab CM” or his intolerance over long-standing drama in the party, Jakhar time and again had raised significant questions.
From commenting on “how congress has forgotten Indira Gandhi’s principles to a tussle between party and former CM Capt Amarinder Singh, Jakhar is clearly indicating that party needs to up its game if wants to come in power again.
Meanwhile, not only Jakhar, but Congress MP Manish Tewari has been critical of his government's stand in the matter of jurisdiction of BSF.

Tewari said in a tweet on Monday, "It has been close to a month now Central Govt by notification has extended BSF operational remit in Punjab to 50 Kilometres. Why till now notification has not been challenged by Punjab Govt India under Article 131 in Supreme Court of India Is opposition to it mere tokenism?"
