Last year, when the country was under lockdown Indian Ramayan and Mahabharat were the saviors. Now, with similar situations Ramanand Sagar's popular saga ‘Ramayana’ is coming on television once again. Ramayana was released on Doordarshan in 1987 and it was re-shown on Doordarshan in the last lockdown. The actors of Ramayana include Arun Govil who played the role of Prabhu Shri Ram, Deepika Chikhaliya played Mata Sita and Sunil Lahiri played Lakshman, Arvind Trivedi played Ravana and Dara Singh played Hanuman.
The Ramayana will now appear on the Colors channel from this Thursday. Ramayan is inspired by the biography of Hindu God Shri Ram. The saga has many episodes but was shortened in 2020. Last year the telecast broke many records. Now keeping this in mind, the Colors channel has once again decided to bring Ramayana on TV. Arun Govil and Deepika Chikhaliya are very popular even today and they leave an indelible mark on the minds of the people.

In 1987, the show was so well-liked that when it aired, there was an undeclared curfew on the roads, and everyone used to watch it with great enthusiasm. Even in 2020, when the saga was telecasted for the second time, audience had the same enthusiasm as it was in 1987. With the second wave of coronavirus where states are again going under lockdown, television will once again unite the country with this epic show.
