But SRH didn't give up, as Abhishek Sharma (21*) and Williamson (51*) put on a vital 48-run partnership to help their team to a seven-wicket victory in only 18.3 overs. Sanju Samson had earlier in the day been the hero of the first innings, scoring a blistering 82 off only 57 balls to help Rajasthan Royals record 164/5 in 20 overs.

In the process, he surpassed Shikhar Dhawan of the DC in the ‘Orange Cap' competition, becoming the league's leading run scorer. Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) was RR's second-highest run scorer, with a 56-run partnership with the skipper. Following his departure, Mahipal Lomror (29*) put up a crucial 84-run stand with his skipper to push the team beyond 150 runs. With the bat, Liam Livingstone (4), Riyan Parag (0), and Evin Lewis (6) all failed.
