Model Town Jain Jeweller Employee Suicide: In a heartbreaking development, a woman working in a jeweler's shop in Model Town died by suicide after she hanged herself. According to the information received, the woman got married 7 years ago and she has a 6-year-old daughter. Late at night, the woman's body was found hanging from the fan. The deceased has been identified as Mamta, a resident of Saidan Gate. Mamta used to work in Jain Jeweller in Model Town Jalandhar.
Mamta's mother Kiran and father Sanjay have made serious allegations against the son-in-law. The parents say that Mamta has taken this step because she was upset with her son-in-law Sandeep. Mamta's parents allege that son-in-law Sandeep was not doing any work for a long time.
They said that Mamta used to work in Jain Jeweller, but Sandeep used to beat her and snatch money. The parents allege that the son-in-law was addicted to drugs. They said that late at 12.30 in the night, Mamta's mother-in-law called and said that the daughter-in-law had done something.
When Mamata's parents reached home after getting the information about the incident, they saw that their daughter had died and her body was hanging from the fan with a dupatta. The police have been informed about the incident. Thereafter, the police took the body in their custody and kept it in the civil hospital for postmortem. The police official stated that further action will be taken after recording the statements of Mamta's family members.
