Haryana State Commission for Women has stepped in after Sonali Phogat, a Haryana BJP leader and Tik Tok singer, died and her daughter Yashodhara sought security. The commission has written a letter to the DGP in this regard, telling that Yashodhara needs security. It is said that the Haryana Police are in charge of keeping them safe.
Sonali Phogat's PA Sudhir Sangwan and his accomplice Sukhwinder are being held in police detention following the murder of Sonali Phogat in Goa on August 23. Meanwhile, Yashodhara has urged PM Narendra Modi and CM Manohar Lal to conduct a CBI inquiry into the murder of her mother. She has also pleaded for security, fearing risk to her life and the lives of her family.
Renu Bhatia, the state president of the women's commission, notified Haryana DGP PK Aggarwal in a letter that Yashodhara Phogat is just 15 years old. She is also the heir to all the property. After the death of her parents, it is not only the family's responsibility to protect her life, but being the daughter of Haryana, it would also have been the responsibility of the Haryana Police that as long as the investigation of Sonali Phogat's case is going on, police protection should be provided to Yashodhara.

The letter states that in addition to educating the daughter, it is also a responsibility to protect her. It is vital for the police to accompany Yashodhara as she travels to several locations to look into Sonali Phogat's tragic death. The Women's Commission demands that Yashodhara be provided with police protection while the murder inquiry is ongoing.
