The Indian women’s hockey team comprises nine players from Haryana and one from Punjab and all will leave for their respective homes on Tuesday from Delhi. State CM Manohar Lal has also announced to give 50-50 lakh rupees to all the players, describing them as the queens of Jhansi. The state government will honor a total of 14 players of the state.

These include hockey team captain Rani Rampal, Manika, Nisha, Navjot Kaur, Udita, Sharmila, Navneet Kaur, Savita and Neha. At the same time, Gurjit Kaur of Punjab is also a part of the team. In the Olympics, his drag flick was in a lot of discussions. The Punjab government on Friday announced to name the stadium at Ajnala in Amritsar after Gurjit Kaur.
