Shocking and Surprising research has emerged of British researchers. Researchers claim that the unborn child may also have diabetes. Scientists at Exeter University, conducting research, say that autoimmune diseases attack the immune system of an unborn child. The disease damages insulin-producing cells. Thus, type-1 diabetes can occur in a child before birth. A case has come up.
According to researcher Dr. Elizabeth Robertson, for the first time such a case has occurred when a child has type-1 diabetes confirmed at birth
Type-1 diabetes occurs in childhood
Until now, cases of type-1 diabetes in children were reported 6 months after birth, but new research says that there is a risk in the womb too. Type-1 diabetes is an auto immune disease that usually begins in childhood. It is not possible to treat it completely, it can be controlled only with the help of medicines and precautions. The reason is genetic mutation.
Type-2 diabetes
At the same time, type-2 diabetes is caused due to dietary disturbances. Experts say, now there is a need to find an accurate treatment for type-1 diabetes. If its cases increase then the situation will become more serious.

According to the research published in the journal Diabetes, the researchers studied 400 children with diabetes. Research has revealed that the child can have diabetes even 6 months before birth, whether or not he has genetic mutations. This is the first time autoimmune diseases have occurred without any genetic mutation.
Less weight than the average at birth
The research team has found that the child who had type-1 diabetes in the womb had less than average weight at birth. Insulin usually starts in the baby in the womb. But in the recent case, due to an attack on the immune system, insulin production was reduced and weight at birth also decreased.
Affects on other body parts
To have diabetes means to increase the level of blood sugar in the body. As it increases, the risk of other body parts failing or getting damaged increases. Diabetes patients have an increased risk of muscle weakening, loss of eyesight, kidney disease, stroke, and heart disease.
