An exclusive wristwatch manufactured by Swiss luxury watch company, Patek Philippe was recently sold for 31 million Swiss Francs (Rs 226 crore). This record was made at the charity auction, Only Watch 2019 which was held in Geneva.
The Patek Philippe's first and only Grandmaster Chime 6300A-010 was exclusively created for the auction. It fetched the highest price and is now the world's most expensive watch ever.
The buyer of the exclusive watch remains unidentified.

The watch is made of unique stainless steel and boasts two dials, one in rose gold and the other in black ebony colour. It also has five chiming modes, two of which are patented as the world's first. There is also an acoustic alarm and a date repeater that tells the date on demand. Other features also include resistance to dust and humidity, and it comes with a reversible stainless steel case.
The purchase amount will go to Monaco Association against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It funds research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative neuromuscular disorder.
The Patek Philippe's Grandmaster Chime 6300A-010 dethroned a Daytona Rolex which was sold at a price of USD 17.8 million (INR 128 crore).
