In a tragic development, a 14-year-old boy from Sain Dass A S Senior Secondary School died after being crushed by a truck early in the morning. As per the information the deceased was going to school on his scooter when he got hit and crushed by a truck. The boy suffered serious injuries and died on the spot. As per the information, the accident took place in front of Sadiq Aman Enclave.
After the accident, the truck driver didn’t stop to check on the boy and instead tried running away from the scene. Police have initiated the investigation and assured that justice will be given to the deceased. The child was going to school early in the morning as the school timings in Punjab recently changed due to a heatwave alert. The family is still in a state of shock and is demanding justice for their child. People who witnessed the accident stated that while the truck driver was about to run, people chased and caught him. The police have assured the family that strict action will be taken against the driver.
For the unversed, Punjab Government announced a change in the timing of schools on Saturday. Government and private schools were ordered to operate from 7 am to 12 pm. These orders came into force due to the rising heatwave in northern India.
