The Delhi Police has registered a case in connection with the alleged manhandling of singer Yo Yo Honey Singh during a show at a club in Delhi, officials said on Thursday.

According to the reports, the whole incident took place on March 26.  Yo Yo Honey Singh has filed a police complaint against a group of 4-5 men who apparently manhandled him during a live performance at Skol Club in South Delhi. He said that they pulled him and even caught him from his shirt’s collar.

Throughout the show, they were shown bottles of beer. Seeing the matter getting serious, Honey Singh left the show in the middle. However, till now no official announcement has come from Honey's side on this whole matter.

According to IndiaExpress, Honey Singh’s lawyer stated, “The 4-5 unknown men started misbehaving and disrupted the show. They started showing beer at the crowd and pushed the artists on the stage. After that, a person in a check shirt caught my (Singh) hand and started to pull me to the front. I was trying to avoid it but the person kept on challenging and threatening me. I also observed that he was armed. Another person in a red shirt was making a video and said ‘Bhaga Diya Honey Singh ko’.”

A case under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered and five accused have been identified, the DCP said.
