On Tuesday, a boy, identified as Rishabh Kumar, went live on Facebook and committed suicide in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The incident occurs in Lambagaon of Jaisinghpur sub-division in Kangra.
According to the Police, the body of the boy was found hanging from the fan of the house. Now, the body is shifted to the local government hospital for the post-mortem. Police said that they would continue the investigation after the post-mortem report and would enquire from Rishabh’s mother, neighbor, friends and relatives.
During the incident, the boy was alone at home as his mother was out of the city. Rishabh’s mother works in Baddi town of Solan district in Himachal Pradesh. Earlier he also used to live with her mother but a few months ago he shifted to his hometown, Kangra and started living alone.
The paternal uncles of the deceased informed the police about the incident. A case has been registered in Lambagaon Police Station.
SHO Kesar Singh said, “Police are aware of the incident. A case has been registered. Prima Facie, it appeared that it was a suicide incident. We have sent the body for post-mortem, the report of which is awaited.”
SHO continued and stated that Police will investigate the incident in detail and would find out the reason that forced the youth to take such a strong decision.

Before committing suicide, Rishabh came live on Facebook and his cousin saw him trying to commit suicide and messaged him not to do so, but it was too late. Later the cousin informed the paternal uncles and following this Police were informed.
About four to five years ago, Rishabh’s father also died by committing suicide.
