Two youths have been arrested at Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar, Punjab. Both these youths were deported by the Immigration Department of Dubai after refusing them entry. At present, the interrogation of both the youths is going on after arresting them at Amritsar Airport. Police is taking action to register the case.
According to the information received, both the youths have been identified as Manjinder Singh, resident of Variyam NangalAmritsar and Ajnala, resident of village Jasraur. Both the youths had gone to Dubai with Indian passports.
When the Immigration Department in Dubai examined their documents, irregularities were found in them. After which the local immigration department did not allow the youths to enter Dubai and sent them back to India in Qatar Airways.
According to the information received, both the youth tampered with someone else's passport and made it their own. With these passports they went to Dubai, but Dubai Immigration officials caught their forgery.
Both the youths have been arrested after being deported to India. Interrogation of both is continuing. The documents of both are also being examined. After interrogation by the Indian Immigration Officer, both were handed over to Amritsar Police. Where a case has been registered against them under the Passport Act and further action is being taken.
