The movie - Jalsa has two main characters - Maya (Vidya Balan) and Rukhshana (Shefali Shah). Vidya Balan is in the role of a journalist while Shefali Shah is in the role of mother. This story is related to the Hint and Run case.
Actress Vidya Balan and 'Tumhari Sulu' director Suresh Triveni have done a film together once again. The name of this film is 'Jalsa', whose trailer has been released. The trailer of 'Jalsa', a drama-thriller based on thrill and revenge, is out, in which the scintillating pair of Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah has been seen.
This story seems to be related to a 'hit and run' road accident.
'Jalsa' is directed by director Suresh Triveni, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Shikha Sharma and Suresh Triveni.
Along with Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah in 'Jalsa' stars like Manav Kaul, Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Shrikant Mohan Yadav, Surya Kashibhatla and Shafin Patel will also be seen. 'Jalsa' is releasing on March 18 on Amazon Prime.

Vidya Balan said about 'Jalsa' - "Every film I do, I try to tell a new story and do something different from the characters I have played till now. 'Jalsa' includes all these things. I play a journalist Maya Menon in the film, through this character I have got a chance to live a mixed role.
It has been a very challenging experience for me as an actor. Again in a film like this with the director. I am doing work which was very exciting and different from our previous project - Tumhari Sulu.
This is the third time that I have worked with Abundantia Entertainment and Amazon Prime Video. Working with Shefali Shah in particular, a highlight for me Used to be."
