Sidhu Moose Wala Death: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, lodged in Tihar Jail under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA), has withdrawn the petition filed in the Delhi High Court. In this regard, his lawyer said that we will file an application in the Punjab Haryana High Court regarding security. The Delhi High Court was going to hear the petition filed by Bishnoi.
But before the hearing, he withdrew the petition. The gangster had filed an application demanding that the Punjab Police can do an encounter with him, in such a situation, he should be provided security and he should not be handed over to the Punjab Police. The gangster lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail has filed a petition in the High Court stating that his life is in danger.

Bishnoi had said that he was being implicated in the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala. If he is taken to Punjab for questioning, a rival gang can kill him. In such a situation, he should be interrogated in Tihar Jail itself and if he is taken to Punjab based on the warrant, then instructions should be given to make adequate arrangements for his security. Along with this application, Bishnoi had also demanded to increase his security.
Significantly, on June 29, famous singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead by criminals. Shortly after the murder, a post surfaced on social media in the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi Group, in which the gang took the responsibility for killing the singer. It was said in the post that the murder was done out of revenge. However, Bishnoi himself had appealed to the court to give him protection, calling the said post false.
