Actor Mike Batayeh, best known for his role in the hit TV series “Breaking Bad,” has died at the age of 52.
“He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many,” his family said in a statement.
In his short yet successful career he gained a lot of fame through his work and have left a series of some incredible legacies behind.
He was part of the first wave of Western comics to perform for local audiences in the Middle East, including Dubai.
He also performed in Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, where he was invited two years in a row by the royal family of Jordan for the Amman International Comedy Festival.
The actor performed and headlined in notable comedy clubs like New York's Gotham and Los Angeles' Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, the Improv, and the Icehouse.
Batayeh's nuanced performance captured the attention of viewers worldwide, earning him widespread praise for his ability to infuse depth and complexity into every scene.
A memorial ceremony will be held on June 16 at 2 p.m. at the Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home in Plymouth, Mich, as per Variety.
