The luxurious Villa Vari, located in the Swiss village of Gingins in the Canton of Vaud, has been purchased by an Indian billionaire.

Previously owned by Christina Onassis, the Greek businesswoman and heiress to the Onassis fortune, the house has been extensively renovated and redesigned with the expertise of renowned interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes.

The billionaire couple, Pankaj and Radhika Oswal, paid a staggering sum of $200 million or Rs 1,649 crore for the opulent property.

Villa Vari is recognized as one of the world’s top 10 most expensive homes due to its extravagant features and stunning location overlooking the snow-capped Alps.

The mansion showcases exquisite details, including intricately carved niches inspired by the Amber Palace of Jaipur and chandeliers sourced from Turkey and Morocco.

The residence boasts a private gym, a gold-inlaid spa and wellness wing, and French windows offering breathtaking views of the gardens and mountains.

Pankaj Oswal is the son of industrialist Abhay Kumar Oswal and leads the Oswal Group Global, which operates in industries such as petrochemicals, real estate, fertilizers, and mining.

The Oswal family, including their two daughters Vasundhara and Ridi, has resided in Switzerland for the past decade after relocating from Australia.
