Indian Railways will operate 857 special trains for the Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra this year.
The special trains will run till June 30 to accommodate approximately 20 lakh pilgrims.
Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra is the largest rath yatra in the world.
All arrangements have been made at Puri station to facilitate the pilgrims during the yatra.
The Rath Yatra will take place from June 20 to June 28, 2023.
Special trains will operate from various towns in Odisha and neighboring states like Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal.
Trains will run from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Paradip, Gunupur, Sambalpur, Jagdalpur, Rourkela, Angul in Odisha, and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to Puri.
The Visakhapatnam-Puri special train will commence its journey on June 19 and 27, while the Puri-Visakhapatnam train will depart on June 20 and 28.
The Rath Yatra is a significant Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Jagannath, celebrated with grandeur and devotion in Odisha.
