Indian bowlers have taken cruise control over the ongoing 1st test match of the BGT series being played at Nagpur.
Spinners led the carnage taking 8 wickets en route to sum Australia’s 1st innings.
Ravi Ashwin led the attack accompanied by fellow spinner Ravindra Jadeja and went on record massive record en route to his three wickets hall.
Ravi Ashwin conceded 42 runs and became the second-fastest to scalp 450 tickets taking 89 matches after Muttaih Murlidharan who took 80 matches.
His second wicket came from Aus skipper Cummins’ dismissal which took him to 450 wickets he became the fastest Indian to do so bettering Anil Kumble’s records.
The 36-year-old also became the fastest to reach 450 Test wickets in terms of balls bowled. Ashwin took just 161 balls to achieve the feat.
Maruns Labuchagne remained the most successful Aussie batter scoring 49 off 123 deliveries before giving up the wicket to Ravindra Jadeja.
India bowlers bundled the Australian side on a humble 177 at the end of 63.5 overs of Day 1, with Shami and Siraj opening India’s wrath by dismissing each opener.
Responding with the bat Indian openers remained in an absolutely dominant spot scoring 66 without giving away a wicket to the Aussies.
