The Punjab government has officially appointed Abhijeet Kaplish, a distinguished 2015-batch IAS officer, as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mukstar. This decision comes in the wake of the suspension of Rajesh Tripathi, a 2016-batch IAS officer, who was removed from his position following serious corruption allegations.
Kalpish, known for his administrative acumen and efficiency has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing governance and development initiatives in Muktsar. His appointment is seen as a move to restore transparency and accountability in the district administration.
