It seems like the BJP has undergone control damage mode after its relationship with its 'ideological mentor' RSS turned sour. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be meeting RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat as BJP and RSS's relationship continues to remain on the edge. As per reports. UP CM Adityanath will meet Mohan Bhagwat on June 15 in Gorakhpur at an RSS training session. This will be the first meeting between the two after the results of the Lok Sabha elections were declared on June 4. The meeting between Yogi Adityanath and Mohan Bhagwat is being termed vital as both of them may discuss BJP's debacle in UP and RSS' developments in the state.
Interestingly, Yogi's meeting with Bhagwat will take place in the backdrop after the RSS Chief said a true 'sevak' is not arrogant and serves the people by maintaining dignity, as part of his first remarks after the Lok Sabha election results that delivered a record third term for the Narendra Modi-led NDA government but with a reduced mandate.
The bitterness between RSS and BJP became evident when another RSS leader Indresh Kumar called the saffron party as 'arrogant'. RSS leader Indresh Kumar on Thursday did not mince his words against BJP and even the Congress. Speaking at the 'Ramrath Ayodhya Yatra Darshan Poojan Samaroh, Indresh Kumar was quoted saying, "The party (BJP) which did the bhakti (of lord Ram) but became arrogant was stopped at 241 but it was made the biggest party..And those who had no faith in Ram, they together were stopped at 234."
Why BJP and RSS are not on cordial terms?
Bhagwat did not mention anyone's name in his 'arrogant kar sevak' remarks, however, it is a well-known fact that PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah sit at the top of the table when it comes to the functions of the BJP. Due to the sourness in their relationship, RSS also did not seek votes for the BJP till May 1, 2024. It is said that RSS was not happy with the distribution of tickets among the candidates by the BJP. However, attempts were made to woo RSS, thereafter, after May 1, the Hindu organisation started to work in favour of the BJP to the full extent.
