Pro Khalistan leader & Waris Punjab De Chief, Amritpal Singh is all set to take his oath as the Member of Parliament from Khadoor Sahib. Amritpal Singh won the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 from Khadoor Sahib. Amritpal is currently lodged in Dibrugarh jail in Assam along with his associates under NSA (National Security Act). Amritpal Singh has been granted parole of 4 days or less starting from July 5, 2024. Amritpla Singh will take oath in the Speaker's room. Sarabjit Singh Khalsa, MP from Faridkot, Punjab, met Speaker Om Birla in Delhi on Wednesday. After which Sarabjit Singh Khalsa reportedly informed that Amritpal Singh will take oath on July 5.
Amritpal Singh had reportedly written to the Punjab Government on June 11 and asked to be released temporarily so that he could be sworn in. The state government had sent an application to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and the parole decision was taken based on that.

In his 4 days of parole, Amritpal Singh will neither be able to come to his house in Raiya, nor his Lok Sabha constituency (Khadoor Sahib) nor Punjab. Amritpal Singh's conditions have been sent to the Superintendent of Dibrugarh Jail in Assam and through him, this information has been given to Amritpal. According to these conditions, he can only visit Delhi. He cannot go anywhere else except Delhi. His night stay will also be in Delhi.
Not only this, but the Khadoor Sahib-MP elect will be under security cover all the time. During this time Amritpal Singh will be under the protection of Punjab Police. As per reports, Amritsar Rural Police has been informed about this. A contingent of Punjab Police has left to bring Amritpal to Delhi. During this, some security personnel from Dibrugarh jail will also be with him.
How Amritpal Singh will be brought to Delhi has been kept secret. ADC Gursimranjit Kaur said that he has been given parole only for Delhi and oath taking. The police administration will decide how he will be taken to Delhi.
After getting the information about Amritpal Singh getting bail, the family's reaction also came to the fore. Parents Balwinder Kaur and Tarsem Singh have demanded that Amritpal Singh be allowed to come to Punjab so that he can come to his constituency Khadoor Sahib, and thank the people who listened to their problems.
