Apple has recently launched new versions of MacBook and iPads, and the new versions include a 15-inch MacBook Air, iPad and iPad Air.
With these latest launches, the company has ordered the discontinuation of some older gadgets. According to the latest announcement, the company has stopped the production of these older models, but the products will be available in the market, both online and offline, until the supplies in stock remain.
The list of the products that will be discontinued are -
10th Generation iPad (2022)
Mac Studio (M2 Ultra, 2023)
Mac Studio (M2 Max, 2023)
iPad Air (2024)
MacBook Air (2024)
It is to be noted that the aforementioned devices have just been removed from Apple's official website but will be available for purchase at third-party online and offline retailers. As per the Apple authorities, the available stock of the discontinued stocks is limited and could end soon.
Why have the products been discontinued?
The company regularly upgrades its products and discontinues the exciting old models. As the company has recently launched new products, including MacBook Air (2025), iPad Air (2025), 11th Generation iPad (2025), Mac Studio (M3 Ultra, 2025), and Max Studio (M4, 2025), the manufacturing and sales for the previous versions have stopped.
The 10th Generation iPad, launched in 2022 as an entry-level model, is also among the discontinued devices. It was initially priced at ₹44,900 for the 64GB Wi-Fi variant. Although the MacBook Air and iPad Air received processor upgrades last year, Apple has now decided to retire these models as well.
