Bharat Pe's former Co-Founder & Shark Tank India judge, Ashneer Grover, allegedly threatened to sue comedian Ashish Solanki and asked him to take down the segment in which he was roasted. Comedian Ashish Solanki took to his Instagram handle and shared a note in which he said that he must delete Ashneer Grover's segment in which he was roasted due to the threat of a legal battle. Notably, Ashneer Grover himself appeared at Ashish solanki pretty good roast show S1 E5 show. Ashish Solanki owns a YouTube channel and he regularly drops roasting video in which he invites guests and multiple comedians participate in it. Ashneer Grover appeared in the episode 5.
Ashish Solanki took to his Instagram and wrote, "Ep 5 of Pretty Good Roast Hata diya hai dosto. Legal Battle ladne ka paisa nahi hai. Sab show pe laga diya tha. The response on previous episodes led us to believe our audiences were ready for roast humor. However, it seems that some, especially those in power, are not quite there yet. Notably, in the brief video, Ashish Solanki called Ashneer Grover- 'Ameero Ka Deepak Kalal' (Rich version of Deepak Kalal). Soon after that, the comedian clarified saying, "Sir, this is the format of the show" hinting that Ashneer did not take this joke lightly. Ashish Solanki claimed that the video would now only feature the comedians roasting each other, thereby excluding Grover's parts. The video, however, is not available on Solanki's official channel anymore. However, another copy of the video is available on a different channel and does not appear to be associated with any known party.
Many fans reacted to Ashneer Grover roasting video. A user wrote, "Damn, I wish Ashneer didn't do that. It would have been hilarious."
Another user wrote, "he went to the roasting show and thrn made the guy delete his part and then made the guy delete the whole f*ckin video."
