After Tirupati Temple Laddu row, Siddhivinayak Temple's prasad packets came under the scanner after a video went viral on social media in which baby rats were seen on it. Siddhivinayak Temple is situated in Mumbai and it receives massive footfall every year including Bollywood celebrities and billionaires come to seek blessings. In the viral Siddhivinayak Temple Prasad video, a baby rat can be seen on the packets of Prasad. After the video surfaced, the president of the temple trust, Sada Sarvankar, responded regarding the purity of the Prasad.

As per reports, Siddhivinayak Temple trust said that the place shown in the video is not a part of the temple. It is an attempt to tarnish our image. The temple trust will respond to the viral video in a press conference. Siddhivinayak Temple Trust in a statement said, "There is no possibility of such unhygienic conditions. When the Tirupati temple prasadam controversy started, our premises were also inspected. All safety and hygiene protocols are being followed there. We take utmost care of cleanliness in the Prasad section."

The official said that the temple uses high-quality material for Prasad, which also includes premium ghee. Everything from water to raw material is tested in the lab. 3 government officials monitor to maintain strict standards.

It is pertinent to mention here that reports suggest that 50 thousand laddus are made daily in Siddhivinayak temple. The demand for these laddus increases during festivals. For Prasad, two laddus of 50 grams each are in a packet. Apart from this, the Food and Drug Department also certifies the ingredients used in the laddus.

Laddus do not spoil for 8 days, warning on the packet is of 4 days. Temple Trust Secretary Veena Patil reportedly said that 2 crore laddus are made every year in the temple. Branded sugar is used for syrup. According to the lab test, these laddus can be kept for 7 to 8 days, but keeping in mind the health of the people, as a precaution, we write on the packet that they should be eaten within 4 days. There are two laddoos of 50 grams each in a packet. Before a contractor's tender is approved, a sample test of the laddoos made by him is conducted.

A few pictures also showed torn packets of the prasad after mice were seen over those. The temple Trust has also sought an investigation into the matter.

Prasad controversy was first sparked when Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on September 18 claimed that animal fat was used in Tirupati laddoos during the previous government when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was the Chief Minister of the state.
