On Tuesday, 26th November, two Chandigarh clubs owned by famous rapper Badshah in Sector 26 were jolted with two low-intensity blasts. The blast occurred between 2:30 AM and 2:45 AM.
Following this incident, Lawrence gang has taken the responsibility for the blasts that took place outside 2 clubs in Sector 26 days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Chandigarh on 3rd December. The blasts outside Seville Bar and Lounge and De'Ora Club had also broken the glass outside the clubs.
What is the Moose Wala connection?
The responsibility of the blast outside both the clubs is taken by Goldy Brar, man accused in Sidhu Moose Wala death case.
Goldy Brar has posted about the same on the social media. He has said that the reason for the blast was not paying protection money. The post linked to Lawrence Bishnoi's associate Goldy Brar reads, “Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara of Lawrence Gang take responsibility for the 2 blasts. We had sent messages to the owners of these two clubs for protection money. But they were not able to hear our call ring. We carried out these blasts to open their ears. Whoever is ignoring our calls should understand that something bigger than this can happen.”
However, the authenticity of the claims has not been confirmed by True Scoop News and the police are actively investigating the incident. Goldy Brar had claimed responsibility for the death of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala, who was murdered on 29th May 2022.
On 1st January, the central government had declared Goldy Brar a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The police investigation revealed that the youths who threw the bombs had come on a bike. The bombs used in the incident were filled with nails and flammable material. Things related to it have also been recovered from the spot.
A Police official shared about the incident and said, "A low intensity explosion took place outside De’Ora which is near the Seville bar and lounge, which is owned by rapper Badshah in sector 26. Both the restaurants are 30 metres away from each other."
