Bhagwant Mann Saragarhi Soldiers Monument: It is said that any country or state must respect its history and the people who fought for the country so that it inspires future generations. It seems like Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann surely knows this fact and this is why the Mann government is building a monument in honor of the 21-brace Sikhs who got martyred in the battle of Saragarhi. In the Battle of Saragarhi on 2 September 1897, 21 Sikh warriors faced the army of 10 thousand Afghans while defending the sovereignty of the country. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's government is preserving the saga of the bravery of the brave soldiers of Saragarhi.
The Punjab government is building a memorial in their memory with an expenditure of one and a half crore rupees. The memory of these great warriors is in Punjab's Ferozepur district. The names and photographs of all 21 warriors will be displayed in it. People of the country and the world will be able to know about the immense courage and supreme sacrifice of these warriors.
The previous government ignored this historic event and did not release funds for it. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken the initiative and released Rs 1.5 crore. He has given the objective of completing the construction of the monument in six months. The battle of Saragarhi reminds the people that whenever there has been an attempt to push back the Punjab soldiers, they have stood up with more strength. The Chief Minister is personally inspecting the construction work of the Saragarhi monument.
