Bollywood actress & Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut is busy promoting her upcoming controversial film Emergency these days. While Sikh organizations are demanding to ban the release of Emergency in Punjab, Kangana Ranaut also got death threats for allegedly showing Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale as a terrorist. On this, Kangana sought Police protection from Maharashtra, Himachal and Punjab. Not only this, but the BJP also reprimanded Kangana for saying that rape were happening during farmers' protest and dead bodies were hanging. After a series of controversies, Kangana was again featured in an interview where she was asked about Jarinail Singh Bhindrawale and Operation Blue Star.

During a rapid-fire round in an interview on a news portal, the interviewer asked, "Was Bhindrawale a terrorist? Kangana said, "You watch Emergency." Then, she was asked, "Operation Blue Star was correct?" On this Kangana responded, "Why you don't want to watch Emergency? Watch Emergency first. I can only tell you that I have not shied away from addressing these issues in my film. But I don't think I can expose my film here."

Death threats to Kangana Ranaut

A video was shared by Kangana on X tagging Maharashtra, Himachal and Punjab Police. In the video,  WWE-fame Vicky Thomas aka Vicky Thomas Singh was heard saying, "If in the movie he (Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale) is portrayed as a terrorist, remember what happened to the person (Indira Gandhi) whose movie you are doing." Thomas also talked about Indira Gandhi's assassination and cautioned that the actress may face the same fate. "Who were Satwant Singh and Beant Singh? We will offer our heads but those who can offer heads can also chop them off.." said Vicky Thomas.

It is pertinent to mention here that Faridkot's independent MP Sarbjit Singh Khalsa objected to the scenes shown in the trailer of the movie Emergency. Sarbjit has written a letter to the Centre to halt the release of the movie over wrongful portrayal of the Sikh community. For the unversed, Sarbjit Singh Khalsa is the son of Beant Singh. Beant Singh was involved in the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. A few parts of Emergency's trailer showcase the militancy period in Punjab and the rise in demand for Khalistan
