The Buckingham Murders is an Indian crime thriller film. It is directed by Hansal Mehta. The movie is produced by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. It stars Kareena Kapoor Khan as Jasmeet Bhamra, Keith Allen as Mille. This movie also stars a chef in one of the leading roles.

This film is marked as Kareena’s first production venture. This movie was released on 13th September in theatres. Following which, it started streaming on Netflix on 8th November.

The plot of the movie revolves around a British-Indian detective who is assigned the case of a 10-year-old murdered child in Buckinghamshire. Although the film is not based on any true events, the audience is claiming that it is inspired by Kate Winslet’s series 'Mare of Easttown'.

Who is the chef turned actor in the movie?

Ranveer Brar is the chef who has played one of the leading roles in the movie. He has played the character of Daljeet in the movie, who is the father of the 10-year-old kid. His son is murdered in the film.

Initially, Daljeet played by Ranveer Brar is seen as the prime suspect because he has taken an insurance policy in his son’s name and would gain huge amount of money if the kid died. He was also abusive with his wife and was having an extra marital affair with his son’s piano teacher. However, in the end, it is revealed that the killer was none other than the boy’s own mother Preeti Kohli.

Who is Ranveer Brar?

Ranveer Singh Brar is a 46-year-old Indian celebrity chef, Masterchef India judge, author and restaurateur. He hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He is known for hosting famous television food shows and judging MasterChef India in seasons 4, 6, 7 and 8. He is an Honorary member at the James Beard Foundation and is recognized by the same for his culinary contribution.

He has also received multiple recognitions for his contributions to various cuisines by several institutions such as AIWF and AICA. He has hosted several cooking shows on ZEE channel.  He has also established several notable restaurants. Before working in The Buckingham Murders movie, he had worked in a web series titled Modern love in 2022.
