A woman and four Punjabi youths have been arrested in Canada for arms and drug trafficking. The accused include a woman and her two sons, while the others are aged between 20 and 22.
The arrested individuals have been identified as 61-year-old Narinder Kaur Nagra from Brampton, along with her sons Navdeep Nagra (20) and Ravneet Nagra (22). The other accused are Ranveer (20) and Pavneet Nahal (21). They are charged with violating approximately 160 regulations, with several Canadians also implicated. This information was provided by Peel Regional Police. The accused are originally from Punjab.
Police Investigation Launched After Gun Seizure
According to the police, this case is quite intriguing. The investigation began after a 20-year-old was found with a gun by traffic police. Subsequently, from July to September, officials conducted “Project Slingshot,” investigating groups involved in drug trafficking in the Peel area and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Dangerous Weapons and Magazines Recovered from Homes
Peel Regional Police collaborated with York Regional Police and RCMP to conduct the investigation. Search warrants were obtained to search the homes of the accused. The investigation resulted in the recovery of 11 weapons, 32 prohibited magazines, over 900 rounds of ammunition, 53 Glock selector switches, and a large quantity of drugs from their residences.
