Most of the students in India are recently waiting for the results of Class 10th and Class 12th of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). During the current session, 2024-2025, around 42 lakh students appeared in the examinations between February 15 and April 4.
Out of the total, around 24.12 lakh students appeared for Class 10th board exams, whereas 17.88 lakh students registered for the examination under Class 12th.
It is to be noted that various state boards have been releasing the results for Class 10th and Class 12th, and it is predicted that the CBSE board might also release the results in May.
It has been reported that the CBSE board usually declares results for Class 10th and Class 12 during the month of May. The release date for the previous three years is as follows -
2024 - May 13
2023 - May 12
2022 - July 22, due to the disruptions caused by the pandemic.
Notably, the result for both classes is released on the same day, and the students can check their results through the official websites of CBSE, which are cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in.
Last year's board exams -
In 2024, around 16.6 lakh students registered for Class 12th board examinations, and out of the total, around 14.5 lakh students were marked successfully passed. The overall passing percentage the previous year was 87.33 percent.
The highest-performing district was Trivandrum, with a passing percentage of around 99.91 percent.
Focusing on gender-based performance, the passing percentage for girls was 90.68 percent, and for boys, it was 84.67 percent, and for transgender students, the passing percentage stood at 60 percent.
