The recent theater release of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 has created buzz and has become a topic of the town. The film showed the unseen side of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, which happened in the year 1919.
The film features Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan in the key roles. The characters played by the three actors are Adv. C Sankaran Nair, Adv. Dilreet Gill and Adv. Neville McKinley, respectively. Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, Amit Sial, and others essayed supporting roles.
It is to be noted that on the ninth day of the release, the movie has crossed the mark of Rs 50 crores across India. Kesari Chapter 2 is loved by individuals of every age group; in fact, critics and fans have been counting Akshay Kumar’s performance as one of the best performances in his entire career. The film was co-produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
Because of such love and hype, people are now eagerly waiting for the OTT release of the film, but there is sad news for the fans as the makers of the film have announced that the film will not be released on any OTT platform anytime soon.
Recently, during an interview with Pink Villa, the director of the film, Karan Singh Tyagi, outlined that the film will not be released digitally soon.
Let us tell you that a film is generally released on any OTT platform two months after theatrical release, but certain reports have outlined that Kesari Chapter 2 will not be released on an OTT platform after two months of the release.
However, according to the reports, Jio Hotstar has been given OTT rights.
