Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Bathinda, Mansa, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Roopnagar, Patiala and Asgar have got a yellow alert indicating cold waves till 15th December.
There is a western disturbance in the northern part of Pakistan. Due to this, there is continuous snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. But it is not witnessed in the plains. According to the weather department, there is no possibility of rain in Punjab for the next one week. Due to this, the weather is expected to remain dry in Punjab and Chandigarh.
