On Friday, it has been 10 months since Kisan Andolan 2.0. due to this, big programs were organized at Shambhu and Khanauri borders. It is being said that farmers have been appealed to reach in large numbers in these programs. On the other hand, the health of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on a hunger strike at Khanauri border, is deteriorating.
Following this, the farmers have announced to intensify the protest on Thursday. They said that demonstrations will be held by burning the statues of the Central, Punjab and Haryana governments.
On 16th December, tractor marches will be taken out at tehsil and district levels across the country except Punjab and trains will be stopped on 18th December. Following the tractor march, a letter written by Dallewal to the President will be handed to the officials.
Dallewal has also written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has signed it with blood. Dallewal has appealed to Modi to fulfil the demands of the farmers including the legal guarantee of MSP. He has written that he has been on hunger strike for 17 days, so this is his first and last letter to him. He wrote that now the PM has to decide that whether he will guarantee MSP or sacrifice farmers like him.
National spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union Tikait Rakesh Tikait and Punjab head Harinder Singh Lakhowal are arriving on Friday to check Dallewal's health.
A PIL has also been filed in the Punjab-Haryana High Court to end Dallewal's fast. It has been said that he has been on a fast since 26th November and his weight has also dropped by 12 kg. His life is in danger. Advocate Viresh Shandilya has filed this petition. The petitioner said that Dallewal is suffering from cancer. There is also a possibility of his kidney failure.
Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end the deadlock and discuss the issues with the farmers.
Sandhwan has also expressed concern over Dallewal's health. He said that the central government should make efforts to end Dallewal's fast so that his life can be saved.
The Haryana administration has also become alert about the health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on a hunger strike. A letter has been written by the Deputy Commissioner Ambala to the Deputy Commissioner Sangrur. In the letter, a request has been made to provide proper medical assistance to Dallewal.
