Punjabi singer AP Dhillon is in India these days for his multiple-city tour for live concerts. The Brown Munde singer has been making headlines for the many surprises he brings during his concerts. For instance, AP brought his childhood crush Malaika Arora during a show in Mumbai, then he brought Yo Yo Honey Singh and Jazzy B to his other concert. However, what broke the internet when AP Dhillon indirectly called Diljit Dosanjh fake and revealed that he had blocked him on Instagram.
AP Dhillon recently appeared in Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast and spilled the 'dirty reality' of concert tickets getting sold out in minutes. Over his remarks, many of the fans are commenting on social media that AP Dhillon's latest jibe targetted Diljit Dosanjh. Below is what AP Dhillon said-
"Some artists pay influencers to make reels on their songs. If things like these keep on happening in India then soon some kind of crisis will come. Like artists are being unfair with their own fans. Like in 15 seconds, the show has been sold out. It’s nothing like that. Nothing has been sold out. It’s just a way of marketing. They give tickets to promoters. So, now their fans have to wait for the tickets. And then the tickets are sold at whatever (inflated) price," said AP Dhillon.
The Insane singer further said, "At some point, we also thought should we play this game? Then it’s like no we cannot go to bed that we had done something like this with people who wanted to watch the show. But you name me man, tell me which show is a sellout. If you need 2000 tickets I will get you that. Now people are playing music as a game hence it is ruining the joy of it."
"Eventually, people will get smart. For example, you have done a show once or twice. People will start saying that his tickets are sold by promoters. You are not bigger than your fan. At least give your fans a chance to buy the tickets. It’s just a dirty game. I don’t wanna take names because it’s working for some people. They are making money. But on a bigger level if you are on the forefront you should not be doing these things. Most artists are doing this right now," added AP Dhillon.
It is pertinent to mention here that tickets of Dil-Luminati concerts in India have often been sold out within minutes after it goes for sale. However, similar thing was witnessed when Coldplay concert tickets went up for sale. Despite this, fans are linking AP Dhillon's comment to Diljit Dosanjh.
