Punjabi actor & singer Gippy Grewal is likely to appear before the Mohali Court on Tuesday, August 20 in a six-year-old case that is linked to gangster Dilpreet Baba. In the last hearing, bailable warrants were issued against Gippy Grewal by the court. He was also asked to appear at the next hearing and submit a security bond of Rs 5,000. This case is of 31 May 2018. At 4 pm, Gippy Grewal received a voice and text message on his WhatsApp from an unknown number. In this message, he was given a number. He was asked to talk to gangster Dilpreet Singh Baba on this number.

It was written in it that this message had been sent to demand ransom. You should talk, otherwise your condition will become like that of Parmish Verma and Chamkila. After this, Gippy Grewal complained about this to Mohali police.

Mohali police had registered a case on Gippy Grewal's complaint. Now Gippy Grewal is being called for testimony, but he is not appearing in court. At the time when he received this threat, he was out of Punjab for the promotion of his movie 'Carry On Jatta 2'.

The Mohali District Court issued a warrant against Gippy Grewal on 4th July. He was also ordered to appear in court on 10th July. But the bailiff in the court had said that Gippy is not in Punjab at the moment. They have come to know that he has gone to Canada. However, the court believes that Gippy Grewal is the complainant in this case. Also, his testimony is necessary. In such a situation, he must appear in court. It is pertinent to mention here that the court has asked Grewal to appear before it physically.
