Gurpurab 2024, Guru Nanak Jayanti 2024, Gurpurab 2024 Sri Nankana Sahib, Golden Temple Gurpurab 2024: Guru Nanak Dev ji's 555th Prakash Parv is being celebrated all over the world on November 15, 2024. The Golden Temple in Amritsar, and Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan have been decorated with flowers and beautiful lights. More than 3 lakh devotees are expected to visit the Golden Temple and more than 1 lakh devotees are expected to pay obeisance throughout the day in Sri Nankana Sahib.
CM Bhagwant Mann reaches Amritsar on Guru Nanak Jayanti 2024
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has wished everyone on the Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev ji. He said that today he was in Amritsar, so he bowed down at the Sixth Patshahi Gurudwara Sahib. He did not go to the Golden Temple so that the devotees do not face any problems in the Golden Temple. On being asked about giving land to Haryana in Chandigarh by the media, CM Mann refused to answer saying that today he does not want to make any political comment.
Arrangements at Golden Temple on Gurpurab 2024
Beautiful lights will be decorated in the Golden Temple on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. These lights will be lit from 8:30 am to 12 noon. There will be fireworks at the Golden Temple at night. This time keeping pollution in mind, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is going to light special kind of crackers. These will emit lights and there will be very less smoke. Apart from this, more than 1 lakh ghee lamps will also be lit at the Golden Temple.
About 3 thousand devotees reached Pakistan
This year, passports of 2,244 devotees were sent by the SGPC for Pakistan visa. But only 763 devotees out of them got visa. Whereas the visas of 1481 devotees were rejected. This year, about 3 thousand devotees from all over India have gone to Pakistan to pay obeisance. They will visit various gurudwaras of Pakistan including Sri Nankana Sahib. These groups will return by November 23.
