Veteran Congress leader & Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma is facing death threats. Sudhir Sharma who is a big name in Himachal Pradesh politics was once a CM Candidate. As per reports, MLA Sudhir Sharma's staff has received threatening phone calls twice. The threat calls have been made in the name of a gangster hiding in Canada. However, the call is said to be local. MLA Sudhir Sharma himself has confirmed this as per a portal.
As per reports, Sharma has informed Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjay Kundu about the threat. Sudhir Sharma suspects that he has received death threats due to personal enmity at the behest of a Congress leader.
According to Sharma, the person who issued the threat has also revealed the name of the leader on whose instructions he has received the threat. Therefore, they have raised the demand for action against the leader. Demands have also been raised to arrest the caller so that he can reveal who is behind the threat.
In the past few weeks, Sudhir Sharma & Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhu have reportedly not at cordial terms. As per reports, two days ago, Sudhir Sharma rejected the offer of Chief Minister Sukhu, in which the CM said in the House that Sudhir would soon be made a minister. On this, Sudhir Sharma, when asked questions from the media outside the House, said that the time of 14 months for the state government has been completed and food should be given to a person only when he is hungry. Sudhir Sharma was not made a minister in the two cabinet expansions. That's why Sudhir is said to be angry with the government.
