In a proud moment for Punjab & the sports fraternity of the state, Hockey Punjab was honoured with the award for state-level excellence and grassroots development at the Hockey India Annual Awards. Hockey Punjab President Mr. Nitin Kohli proudly accepted the award on behalf of the association. The association also received a Rs 10 lakh cheque for winning 2 medals in various categories at the 14th Hockey India National Championship 2024, strengthening Punjab’s position as a powerhouse of Indian hockey.
The association received this esteemed honor for its consistent efforts in promoting hockey and nurturing emerging talent across Punjab. The award ceremony, held in New Delhi, was attended by top officials from Hockey India, former players, and dignitaries from the sports fraternity.
