Two Indian Hockey Stars Mandeep Singh and Udita Duhan got married on Friday. Udita Duhan hails from Hisar (Haryana) and hockey team striker Mandeep Singh hails from Jalandhar. They took the Laavan (wedding vows) at Sri Gurudwara Sahib in Model Town, Jalandhar on Friday morning. Mandeep Singh and Udita Duhan's marriage was attended by close family members and several players from the Indian hockey team. The couple followed Sikh rituals as they exchanged vows in a solemn yet joyous ceremony. The day before, a pre-wedding function was held at Mandeep Singh’s residence, where the couple captured memorable moments in traditional Haryanvi attire and hockey jerseys.
Mandeep Singh is called the goal machine of the Indian Men's Hockey Team. He is currently in the post of DSP in the Punjab Police. Udita has been the most expensive player in the women's hockey league. Apart from this, she also does modeling.
A few days back, Hockey India shared a video of both hockey stars and congratulated them on their journey together. As per reports, Mandeep, who hails from Punjab, first met Udita in 2018. This meeting took place in the Indian national camp in Bengaluru in 2018. At first, they used to talk just like two players, talk about hockey, and understand each other's understanding of the game. But as time passed, their friendship grew stronger. Their bond grew stronger during the lockdown. Both Mandeep and Udita were stuck in the same camp, away from their families and the outside world, where they started spending more time together and found the most comfort in each other's company.
