Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning to Punjab and many other states While a yellow alert has been issued in many states, IMD has warned one district of Punjab that it may witness a cyclone. IMD has alerted that a cyclone is forming near Amritsar district. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Punjab.
Along with Amritsar, a cyclone is forming in the Bay of Bengal near Bangladesh. Due to this, heavy rains may occur in many states including Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar on Friday. For the past several days, heavy rains have been occurring in different areas of Punjab, due to which the weather is pleasant and cold. However, there is no rain in many areas and people are facing heat.
Notably, people had to face humidity throughout the day on Sunday and Monday. However, after 10 am on Tuesday, the clouds cleared and the sun came out, which changed the mood of the weather again, but the weather remained a little cool due to the cold winds blowing intermittently during the day. The effect of the frequently changing weather has started affecting people's health and seasonal diseases have started spreading. The temperature has come down due to the rain, which has also brought relief from the heat.
