Brazilian model & actress Eliza Samudio was murdered in June 2010 by star Flamengo's goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes's friends and family members- his cousin and nephew. While Bruno Fernandes was not directly involved in the murder of Eliza, he was convicted of keeping the Brazilian model and her infant child as hostage and ultimately planning her murder. However, Bruno till date denies killing Eliza Samudio. 

Eliza Samudio was horrifically strangulated to death by 'Bolo' who was allegedly linked to goalkeeper Bruno. After strangulating Eliza Samudio, Bolo reportedly dismembered her body. Multiple reports suggest that Bolo fed Eliza Samudio's body parts to dogs. However, when the cops tested the dogs, they never found Eliza Samudio's body parts. Thereafter, the cops tried to find Eliza Samudio's body parts around Bolo's house but they still could not find it. Ultimately, Eliza Samudio's dead body was never found to date by the authorities. But by the confession of Bruno's friend Marraco and his nephew Jorge, Bruno was convicted of murder even though Eliza Samudio's body was never found. 

What happened to Eliza Samudio and Bruno's son?

As shown in the movie, Eliza Samudio's son Bruninho was kidnapped by Bruno's friends. After murdering Eliza, Bruninho was handed over to Bruno at his ranch. Thereafter, Bruno handed over Bruninho to his first wife. When the cops arrested Bruno's first wife, she revealed that Bruno gave her the child saying that Eliza will return in a few days. The documentary showcased that Bruninho was crying continuously and hence he was handed over to Bruno's first wife. Bruno's first wife fed Bruninho milk at Bruno's ranch where her mother was held captive before she was taken to Bolo's house where she was strangulated to death and later her body parts were dismembered.  Bruninho was found by the cops and he was taken under their safe custody. 

Where is Eliza Samudio and Bruno's son Bruninho Fernandez?

Brazilian media reports suggest that Bruninho also became a goalkeeper like his estranged father. In February 2024, it was reported that Bruninho signed his first football contract with Athletico Paranaense. Precisely on the day his mother, murdered by his father, Goalkeeper Bruno, would have turned 39 years old. Bruninho, 14-year-old, will have investments from the club in his career.

"It was a gift for her", Bruninho was quoted saying. In addition to a monthly allowance, Bruninho will have the opportunity to study at the CT itself, through an agreement with a private school, and will be attended to by the club's doctors. Until last year, when he moved from Campo Grande, in Mato Grosso do Sul, to Curitiba, in Parana, the team's headquarters, he attended a state school.
