Police detained a woman for public intoxication and public disturbance in the Garha area of Jalandhar. According to reports, she was heavily inebriated and was causing menace. She had reportedly gotten in an argument with an auto-rickshaw driver. Following this she started hurling obscenities and causing a disturbance in the area. The matter got so severe that the police had to be called to intervene.
The girl asked the e-rickshaw driver to take her to the bus stand. She was in a heavily inebriated state. After seeing her adverse condition, the driver took her to the police station where the police told him to take her to the hospital. Due to low battery in the rickshaw, he took her to his home where she started to argue with him and his family. After that she left the house and caused a ruckus in the surrounding area. The police had to be called to assess the situation.
Police arrived at the scene to control the situation. They somehow managed to calm the girl down and called emergency number 108 for an ambulance. The woman was sent to a hospital.
