Recently a video from the posh Jalandhar area of Model Town went viral in which a youth was being attacked by a big group of people. New information has come to light, according to which the victim in the video is a 16-year-old student of a major private school in Jalandhar. In the video, he was being attacked by another group of nearly half a dozen youths.
SHO Parminder Singh of Police Station Division No. 6 said that the said youth studies together in a big private school of the city. There was a fight between the two parties inside a restaurant on Monday afternoon. The youth who was assaulted in front of the gym had assaulted the said youth in the restaurant, due to which there was a dispute going on between the two.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the youth was coming out of the Neo Fitness gym in Model Town late at night. After the brutal assault, the youth mob took the victim in their car and fled the scene. However, they dropped the victim near Adarsh Nagar when the rumours of kidnapping started to spread.
Video of the entire incident is going viral on social media. However, no complaint has been given to the police of Police Station Division No. 6 of the area regarding the matter. CCTVs of both the places have been taken into possession on the basis of which next action will be taken, informed the police.
The attackers fled after leaving the victim near Adarsh Nagar.
According to the information received, when the attackers took the victim youth with them in this case that happened late at night, the rumor of kidnapping spread in the entire area. After which the police immediately came into action and started investigating the matter.
CCTV revealed that about half a dozen accused had forcibly taken the victim with them in the car. When the rumor of kidnapping spread, the attackers dropped the youth from their car near Adarsh Nagar and fled.
