In some horrific news, a 17-year old minor was raped by 2 other minors in Jalandhar, whose video was made by a third, as of yet unidentified minor. The 2 accused have been arrested by the police and sent to juvenile home. The third accused, who shot the 35 second video which subsequently went viral, has not been identified but a police search is underway.
In the viral video of gangrape, two youths are seen with a minor. One of the young men is holding both her hands while the other is trying to take off her clothes. After this he molests the minor. The victim was seen pleading and pushing the accused away but they kept relentlessly kicking her laughing all the while. When the victim started screaming loudly for help, one of the accused asked the other to play a loud song so that the voice does not go out. When the minor did not stop screaming, the accused tried to silence her by pressing his hand on her mouth.
After discovering the video, the police interrogated both the accused caught in the gang rape during which they denied that this video was not made by any of their associates. They don't know who made the video. In the complaint given to the police by the father of the victim girl, he had said that the accused had committed the above incident in Ram Janaki Nagar in the area of Police Station-1. The father had told the police that a few days ago his daughter had gone from home to her aunt's house to deliver food. The two minors caught her while she was returning to her home. When the daughter protested, he dragged her to the second floor of a house. Where both the youths took turns to raping his daughter. The accused promptly fled the scene.
Regarding this, SHO of Police Station-1 Sukhbir Singh said that immediately after receiving the complaint, the police had registered a case against the said minors under sections 376-D, POCSO Act and 506 of the IPC. Both the minors were arrested shortly after the case was registered. The SHO said that investigation so far has revealed that the said video was made by a third person who has not yet been found. Therefore, the police are investigating this from a technical angle.
