Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has started her Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign in full swing. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently named Kangana Ranaut as its candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh for Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Ever since then, Kangana Ranaut has been embroiled in major controversies. While sometimes Kangana herself stokes controversies, most of the time the Congress party & INDIA block outlines the actress's old statement. A similar kind of controversy is in the making with the Congress party slamming Kangana for eating beef once in her life. Recently, Himachal Pradesh's PwD Minister Vikramaditya Singh took to his social media handle and without taking the actress's name he took a dig at her.
Vikramaditya Singh wrote, "Himachal is a sacred place of Gods and Goddesses, it is a land of gods, where people who eat beef should not contest elections. This is a matter of concern for our culture, which has nothing to do with politics. (Translated Person)" Notably, Minister Vikramaditya's mother Pratibha Singh is the Congress MP from here. There is a possibility of him becoming the candidate in these Lok Sabha elections also. Seeing this, Vikramaditya is surrounding Kangana.
For the unversed, Kangana had said in an interview given to a TV channel that when she left her house, her mother forbade her to eat beef. Since then she became eager to eat beef and 'I ate beef'. At that time I was a rebel type of person. I used to do whatever was forbidden to me. Then I tried it. However, now Kangana has become a vegetarian.
Another Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar stated that BJP gave Kangana the Lok Sabha ticket because she likes to eat beef.

BJP leader Shaina NC was quoted saying "Vijay Wadettiwar is the leader of the Congress party in Maharashtra who is so defunct of ideology that he has the audacity to say that Kangana Ranaut was given a ticket because she is a beef eater. This is not the first time the Congress has made such ludicrous comments. Supriya Shrinate has said 'mandi me kya rate hai' and Randeep Surjewala talks about Hema Malini's attributes despite her being the age of Sonia Gandhi...This Congress party is clearly anti-women. On the other hand, you have a prime minister who has ensured whether it's Triple Talaq or Nari Shakti Vandan, there is respect for women. If the Congress party is so defunct of any thought process, I think the befitting answer will be on June 4 when the women of India speak up and vote against this anti-woman party called the Congress."
